Bord_Bia_Logo__2_ The Bord Bia Nursery Quality Programme is a voluntary quality assurance scheme designed to assist Irish nurseries reach best practice in commercial nursery crop production and management systems. It sets out a ‘code of practice’ for the efficient running of a nursery business and provides a standard against which nursery businesses are evaluated.

Young Nurseries started participating in the programme in 2009 and received the Quality Award and Best New Entry Award for 2009/2010.

IHNSA Trolley Fair – Tuesday February 25th

Visit us at the IHNSA Trolley Fair – The Pavillon, Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co Kildare. Tuesday February 25th from 10am until 4pm.

25 years in business

In August 2013 we celebrated 25 years in business.

Bord Bia Awards 2013

At this year’s Bord Bia Awards 2013, we were proud to receive the award for best ‘Hardy Nursery Stock Grower’ in Ireland , and we were also nominated for ‘Best Local Plant Supplier’

New facility

In February 2011 we moved into a new facility which incorporates offices, meeting and training room, and canteen.

Kennedy Primroses

We’ve introduced the new Kennedy Primroses to the Irish market, these will be ready for sale again on February 1st 2012 and will be in garden centres around the country.

20/02/12 – IHNSA Trolley Fairs

We will be exhibiting at the IHNSA Trolley Fairs on Tuesday 28th February and Tuesday 27th March 2012 at The Hub, Cillin Hill, Kilkenny. We will have a very nice selection of perennials on display, so come along and have a chat about your requirements and see what we can supply you with for early spring sales.

17/02/12 – Bia Quality Awards 2012

We are delighted to announce that we won the award at this year’s Bord Bia Quality Awards, for ‘Best Perennial/Herbaceous Grower’ in Ireland for 2011/12 and we were also a nominee for ‘Best Local Plant Supplier’ as voted for by the garden centers.

We also have the Quality Award under the Quality Assurance Programme.
